v6000-E

SPECIFICATION – V6000 Suite – Automation and Motorisation – Motion – Bifolding MB

• The Vollay V6000 Bifolding System is an integrated program, which is designed to connect any of the panels from the Vollay ranges onto a bifolding system to increase the panel’s efficiency and flexibility.
• The heart of the system is an OEM manufactured 4 wheeled trolley supplied by our locally based manufacturer. The trolley is rated at 50kgs of load and based on a pressure die cast chassis to which 4 wheels are attached that consist of stainless steel inner bearings and UV resistant nylon wheels.
• The wheels run in an extruded aluminium tracking system, which has dual elevated running tracks into which the trolley runs to provide a smooth moving folding panel. When an opening is outside of normal adjustment, we have developed an adjustable head, which due to its ‘U’ shaped design and telescopic nature allows up to 35mm of additional adjustment to be achieved to square up an opening
• Through the centre of the trolley chassis is a recessed hole to allow a 8.0mm stainless steel bolt to pass, which has a set of flat faces on the bolt and allow height adjustment when it engages with the stile plugs. Once the correct height is achieved, the stainless steel 8.0mm half locking nut is tightened onto the washer to the stile plug.
• We have a series a concealed stile plugs which are installed in the panel when it is manufactured. These plugs are hidden in the stiles and provide a level of superior fixing and strength, which a retro fitted top plate cannot provide.
• Using the stile plugs in the bottom of the panels, we are also able to use our bifolding roller guide which consists of a UV resistant black nylon roller, secured with the same 8.0mm stainless steel bolt. It can run in either a ‘U’ channel which is able to be imbedded into the floor or the ‘M’ track which allows the track to be fitted to an existing flooring, avoiding a trip hazard.
• To secure the panel against the jamb, we have a spring loaded top stile plug which snaps in to the top bifold pivot within the tracking. At the bottom off the jamb we have a bottom pivot, which fits inside the tracking and is the basis of the first pair of panels.
• The first panel hinges off this jamb panel, using our stainless steel hinges, is connected to the top track using a 4 wheeled trolley and a bottom roller guide. It is recommended that panels then hinge off the first pair in batches of two to ensure no free swinging panels.
• When you require to secure a panel in place in the track, you can use a concealed flush bolt, which is able to extend a nylon tipper rod into either the top or bottom track to secure the bifolding panel in place.
• Aluminium shall be extruded to Australian Standards AS1866:1997
• Aluminium sections shall be powder coated to AS3715-2002
• Aluminium sections shall be anodised to AS1231-2000 and complies with corrosion resistance as per AS1580.457.1.
• All fixings, bolts, screws and pivots are manufactured from stainless steel.
• All plastic parts are manufactured from UV resistant HDPP (High Density Polypropylene) or similar.
