SPECIFICATION – V1000 Suite – Mono Skin Fixed Louvre Systems – Welded Bar System WBS
• The screen shall be produced in panels, which will consist of the desired parallel blade type spaced at a pitch width to provide the ideal shading or structural requirement of the application.
• A wide range of blade types including Flat bar blade widths of 40 x 3mm, 50 x 3mm, 60 x 3mm, 80 x 3mm and 100 x 3mm or a splayed 45º angled blade with a 40mm, 60mm, 80mm or 100mm angled face are clamped into a parallel frame which is joined with an extruded aluminium cross member at centres to reflect span and wind loading.
• The cross member comprises of an oval shaped solid aluminum extrusion which is passed through punched holes in the desired louvre blade of the required flat or splayed louvre at centres which do not exceed 300mm allowing for the blades to be spaced apart at the desired distance to provide the optimum shading solution.
• The cross member can be located both centrally and off set when required, to provide the optimum shading system. The cross member is then welded on both sides using a robotically controlled MIG weld wire to produce a small, strong weld to secure the louvres in place.
• The oval shaped hole is available in a range of lengths. This allows the system to angle the chosen louvre blade to provide access to the winter sun while still providing shade in summer.
• Panels are then attached using either a range of welded tab options to either the ends of the blade or between blades. The use of a suitable angle acts like a flange, we carry a range of standard fixings, these include our 10mm diameter aluminium ‘J’ hook with a stainless steel Nyloc nut and our range of extruded ‘M’ style aluminium brackets which clamp over the blades. This allows the blades to be attached to the structural members or one of our many bracket options.
• A wide range of standard bracket designs are available to choose from, but if a custom bracket design is required this option is also available from our in-house design team, which is supported with the latest in CAD software.
• Aluminium shall be extruded to Australian Standards AS1866:1997
• Aluminium sections shall be powder coated to AS3715-2002
• Aluminium sections shall be anodised to AS1231-2000 and complies with corrosion resistance as per AS1580.457.1.
• All fixings, bolts and screws are manufactured from stainless steel.
• All welding complies to the relevant Australian Standards.
